Following the cancellation of the Tuface Idibia led Nationwide protest in agitation for good governance, most Nigerians have been infuriated while some have seen reasons with the singer for his action thereby lending their voices to calm the angry minds of the citizens that were already prepared for the march.
Earlier, Bluenews shared on her facebook page a post by Maltina Dance winner which saw positive reasons why the protest had to be called off, that post can be seen here.
Joining the list of those finding positive reasons for cancelling the protest is Rivers Lawmaker Kelechi Nwogu, who took to his social media timeline in words and pictures to urge Nigerians to stand by the living legend, thereby siting instances of previous protests that resulted to chaos with the leaders of such protest either dead or languishing in jail.
In his statement titled CALL HIM GOODLUCK JONATHAN THE SECOND, NOT TUFACE ANYMORE!! the lawmaker highlighted the fact that lives of many innocent citizens would have been endangered if the protest had went on as planned. Noting that it is in the best interest of the entire country that an avenue for hoodlums to harm innocent citizens of the country was stopped.
Hon. Nwogu who noted the fact that Tuface Idibia has already pricked the minds of those in the corridors of power by mere announcing his intentions to carry out a protest, hence the government is bound to sit up for better governance. He advised Nigeria’s to rather question the the likes of Tude Bakare, Father Mbaka, Femi Falana who are watching N500 equaling $1, whereas they almost crucified Goodluck Jonathan’s administration where the exchange rate was at N180 t0 a dollar.
