The group that conducted a vigil at Abuja House London the night before President Muhammadu Buhari came back to Nigeria has reacted to the statement credited to Buhari, wherein he taunted them by telling them to come back home too.
#ResumeOrResign UK replied Buhari via a conference call involving Blue News and three members of the group, Mr Enahoro Edgal, Mr Chidi Cali and Dr Uwakwe-Mangse Hanna.
The group told Blue News that, it is laughable that a lion king that is being chased by mere rats is daring them to come back home.
Mr Enahoro Edgal said
“Mr President who is christened lion king but ironically scared of rats should first of all confront rats that scare the living daylights out of him before telling us to come back home. Which home does he want us to come? Is it the same home that he has completely collapsed its economy due to unprecedented mediocrity and outdated policies?”
When Blue News asked Mr Chidi Cali why he thinks Buhari is wrong to ask them to come back home since they did the same to him, he said the president has no right to ask them to come back home because, they are private citizens with the sole prerogative to lawfully stay anywhere they wish as long as they want, and to visit or relocate to home whenever they like, but that can’t be said about Buhari who is a public property.
Dr Uwakwe-Mangse Hanna concluded by saying the vigil they carried out was for the general interest of the country, and they will continue to demand for good governance from public office holders at all levels because Nigerians have suffered a lot in the hands of bad leaders.
