Outrage After Jamb Slashed Cut Off Point To 120

The announcement by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB have left many puzzled about what will become of our youth’s generation.

The educational body has fixed minimum cut off marks for admissions into universities in Nigeria at 120, polytechnics and colleges of education at 100, while that of innovative enterprising institutes at 110. Institutions are, however, at liberty to raise their cut off marks for admission above the minimum set by JAMB.

The fact that ‘120’ was set as the minimum cut off mark for admissions into Nigerian universities isn’t all that pleasant to the ears of some Nigerians and so on social media, they reacted angrily at what is perceived as a blow to the Nigerian educational system.

If anyone is still in doubt that boko haram is the face and tool of oppression of the remaining part of Nigeria, this is a true pointer. The northern Nigeria does not recognize western education and as long as it continues they know they will never gain upper hand, so what is there to be done, weaken its structures, destroy it by removing merit and hard work. There you have it

Is somebody in government fulfilling the boko haram script and preachings. The only universities that will admit these new generation students will be in the north. Four years from now the country will have unemployable under qualified university graduates. This may be a plan to keep the youths perpetually ignorant and be submissive to government abuse of their rights.
