The beauty pageant show held on Friday May 12th 2017 as part of activities marking the Rivers STATE Golden Jubilee celebration took a different twist when the overall winner’s prize was brought forward.

Blue News gathered from a source very close to the models that the Miss Obigbo who collapsed was regularly complaining during the camping days about stage fright as this was her first time of being part of an event with such huge audience base.
To add to it, the contestants were said not to have had their meal before the show began and at such became weak especially haven stood for hours, danced with fictitious smiles to please the countless paparazzi.
Gov. Wike who mounted the podium after the incident surprised everybody when he didn’t alter a word about the model’s collapse, rather went straight to award scholarships to 11 of the contestants after Belema Oil had awarded the other 12 contestants all outside Nigeria.
The event was no doubt fun filled, as the organizers and guests went home all smiling with thumbs up for a job well done.
